Make Your Own Bug Hotel
- Saturday 22 January

ABOUT
Come and make little homes for bugs and insects with Lou McCurdy! We will use a variety of natural materials such as bamboo, bark, sticks and leaves to create bug hotels in recycled tin cans. You will also be able to look at real bugs in our bug magnifying boxes. Bug hotels provide wonderful safe refuges for insects, especially pollinators, and are a great urban solution to declining populations of beneficial insects in human environments.
Our family workshops are for parents / carers and children aged 5yrs+ to enjoy being creative together. Artist-led and inspired by the themes of our exhibition programme they are a great opportunity to have fun and explore different materials. All workshops are free and drop-in so there’s no need to book.
As part of the Undercurrents exhibition programme. Find out more here.
This workshop has been made possible by an award from Postcode Society Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
