Phoenix Art Space is looking to appoint a new Treasurer to support the organisation into an era of long-term sustainability, including the development of a new 5 – 10 year business plan and an ambitious regeneration capital project.

Our Treasurer will have strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting skills, with experience in charity finance and a solid understanding of arts funding; and possess strategic planning abilities and risk management expertise. We are seeking someone also who has a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the arts; a dedication to promoting and supporting marginalised artists; a standard of ethical and transparent decision-making; and a disposition to collaborative teamworking.

Those interested in responding are invited to join the Chair and Executive Director for an informal 1:1 online meeting. This is not essential but is recommended. In addition, the Executive Director is also happy to offer a tour of Phoenix Art Space to those interested in applying.

Application Process:

Please submit an application by email to the Chair info@phoenixbrighton.org no later than 5pm, Monday 30 September 2024.
Late submissions cannot be considered. Please email your submission well in advance of the deadline to avoid the possibility of technical issues and lateness. The application can be either a single file PDF or up to 4 minutes audio or video.

If submitting a PDF, it should include:
● Your name and contact details including email, phone number and current address
● Links to your website and/or CV
● An up to 500 word statement outlining your interest in Phoenix Art Space and what you feel you can bring to the Board and role of Treasurer

If submitting an audio or video file:
● This should be no more than 4 minutes, and only outline your interest in Phoenix Art Space and what you feel you can bring to the Board and role of Treasurer
● Name, contact details and links to website and/or CV should be sent via email

Applicants are also asked to complete an anonymous Monitoring Survey when submitting their application via this link.
