Phoenix Art Space is delighted to announce Lucy Day as our Interim Executive Director.

Lucy comes to us with an abundance of energy and passion to lead us in to our next chapters. As a consultant, curator and mentor to artists and artistic organisations Lucy brings a keen strategic eye to move the organisation holistically forward. Most recently she co-founded A Woman’s Place Projects, leading the organisation through a four year programme of events and exhibitions in the South East, in partnership with the National Trust, Arts Council England, community groups and local organisations.

Through the studio members who form the heart of our building, our flourishing public programme of exhibitions and events, and the innovative and supportive work embedded in our community, Phoenix enjoys an enviable reputation as a hub of creative ambition in Brighton. Together with our fantastic Team, Board and studio members I look forward to leading Phoenix through an exciting next chapter.”

The Trustees are excited that we have been able to appoint Lucy, with her amazing experience and energy we are assured of an exciting, creative and sustainable future.
