SUN DANCER’ is Jess Frankland’s debut solo show. The show comprises of paintings made across summer 2025-2026.

Frankland paints about celebratory themes on handmade canvases that draw on real and imagined experiences of journeys. SUN DANCER shows her current work made with domestic materials and traditional paints. Frankland creates saturated paintings that explore her experiences of nature and female stories combined with physiological spaces and other worldly dimensions.

Jess Frankland (b.93, UK) is an artist working across painting and film in South West England. She has worked in collaboration with renowned artists, exhibited her work nationally and in the Turner Contemporary, won D&AD Sliver Pencil for her short films and self-published and sold in the Photographers Gallery.
