ABOUT

As part of the Collective Conversations Residency, ProjectOurs present a series of public-facing events about working in the film industry, from the perspective of women and minority filmmakers.

Behind The Scenes: Demystifying Tech Surgery is a roundtable discussion with female and gender minority filmmakers, followed by a workshop featuring a range of filmmaking equipment. Are you interested in camera equipment but don’t know where to start? Feel a little intimidated by technology, jargon and tech bros? Join us to speak to women and gender minority filmmakers about their roles, and have a go at tinkering with different equipment.

Friday 28 July, 2pm – 5pm
Places on this workshop are free, click here to book your place.
This workshop will take place in the annexe space at the back of the Main Gallery.

About ProjectOurs
ProjectOurs is a collective of women and gender minority filmmakers. They create a space for artists across a range of disciplines to pursue filmmaking within an increasingly inaccessible climate, particularly for minority groups. Their collective practice centres playfulness, kindness, and reciprocity in the making of work; they build each other up, welcome faux-pas and encourage creative journeys. Their group formed to draw attention back to the rewards inherent in the process of filmmaking, leaning on the spirit of collective learning rather than financial and/or commercial success.
