ABOUT
“From Spirit to Canvas: A Journey Through Inner Mythologies”
Spaladonia’s acrylic and oil paintings navigate between the conscious and the unconscious. In this journey between realms, she unfolds personal mythologies, using surreal symbolism, bold colours, and intuitive forms. Her deep interconnectedness with nature and ancestral memory helps her shape and merge the emotional, spiritual, and material worlds.
In this exhibition, Spaladonia’s artworks emerge from a place of spontaneous creation and
inner necessity, not bound by academic tradition but rooted in the primal drive to express.
Her figures are often distorted, layered and overlapping, mirroring the multifaceted reality of
the self. Each canvas becomes a theatre of the soul, populated by dreamlike characters,
archetypal beings, and morphing creatures that challenge perception and invite reflection,
often in the form of strong females.
With her artworks, Spaladonia explores themes of transformation, identity and boundaries
between the human and the elemental. Faces may dissolve into forests, spirits rise from
animals and landscapes merge with anatomy. In these liminal spaces, the rational dissolves
into the intuitive and healing can occur.
Spaladonia approaches painting almost as a ritual, as a door to hidden dimensions, allowing
to give form to the formless. Her process is guided by instinct and listening to the paint,
allowing it to speak its own language. As a multidisciplinary artist, Spaladonia lives creativity
not just as a practice but as a way of being, a continual movement between connection,
liberation and transformation.
Welcome to this journey. Let these works speak to your inner wildness, your forgotten
symbols, your ancestral echoes.
