Family workshop: Memory Mobiles

Family Workshop

ABOUT

Join artist Ella Hempsted for a workshop inspired by the Home to My Teenage Bedroom exhibition in our main gallery. Families will be guided through the process of making their own ‘Memory Mobile’. Taking reference from dream catchers often found in childhood bedrooms, families will combine drawing, collage, text and tactile materials with wire to create hanging sculptures. Each sculpture will be uniquely crafted, capturing past thoughts and feelings along with imagined realities and dreams.

Our family workshops are for children aged 5yrs+ to enjoy being creative together with their parents / carers. Artist-led and inspired by the themes of our exhibition programme they are a great opportunity to have fun and explore different materials. All workshops are free and drop-in so there’s no need to book.

This workshop is part of the Home to My Teenage Bedroom exhibition programme, more info here.
