ABOUT
DIVINE
Fourth Wave Collective is a multidisciplinary art collective based in Sussex. Co-founded by artists Leigh-Anna Barber-Corbett (mosaic), Bethan Hamilton (drawing), Mairi Lawther (printmaking), Fourth Wave Collective has invited artists working in a variety of media to join them in the group exhibition ‘DIVINE’.
‘DIVINE’ showcases the artworks of ten artists exploring the presence of divinity through the lens of their own personal experiences and belief systems. Investigating the theory that divinity exists within everything and is not separate from creation. Finding divinity within all things as a spiritual, theistic or broader philosophical concept. The artists have created artworks in response to themes such as; animism and our sacred and interdependent relationship to the natural world, love, community and moments of connection with others, motherhood and the creation of life as a divine power, transcendent moments through music, art, dance and when in the presence of beauty, and the divinity and strength that can be found in every individual.
Exhibiting artists: Leigh-Anna Barber-Corbett, Magdalena Dloniak, Bethan Hamilton, Mairi Hedderwick Lawther, Emma Palmer, Michele Payne, Andy Smith, Euan Stewart and Felix Taylor.
