To celebrate our partnership with Cass Art and the University of Brighton, Phoenix Art Space will present a group exhibition of all six recipients of the Cass Art x University of Brighton Studio Award.

There has been a lack of opportunities for graduates to exhibit since COVID-19, and we are delighted to be able to offer the Main Gallery at Phoenix Art Space to these six emerging artists. Featuring Liberty Cheverall, Hattie Malcomson, Emily Moore, Miranda Forrester, Sophie Hulf and Jessie Yates. A vibrant exhibition spanning painting, sculpture, illustration and tufting.

ABOUT STUDIO AWARD
The Cass Art x University of Brighton Studio Award is a programme that benefits a graduate from University of Brighton with one year of support through rent–free studio space and other opportunities. The award has been developed in direct response to the urgent need for affordable and secure workspace for emerging artists. Brighton University students can now apply for  the 2022-23 Studio Award. The galleries at Phoenix Art Space are open Wednesday – Sunday, 11.00 – 17.00 during exhibition dates.

• You do not need to book in advance of your visit. Entry is free.
• Mask wearing is optional, please be considerate of those who choose to wear one.
• Our cleaners clean high-contact areas regularly.
• Sanitizer is available throughout the building.
• Please stay at home if you are feeling unwell.
