Notes on Water is one of a series of exhibitions by Jim Cooke and Katya de Grunwald, which was born from a shared fascination with water.

These exhibitions are an extension, a combined visualisation of many conversations the artists have shared about their common experiences and practices. Both artists take a quiet and reverential approach to the elusive and essential nature of water and have, over many years, been captivated by its ever shifting forms, its omnipresence and impermanence

Small pools, canals, rivers, ice, rain, condensation, aquatic creatures…… Looking toward the sea.
