ABOUT
Judith Ricketts’ Sensing Data: Memory in Place presents seven years of work exploring how data and the built environment reveal connections to the transatlantic slave trade. Combining research, data excavation, and creation, the exhibition’s fragmented datasets act as vessels for ideas, driving reflection and future possibilities.
Presented during Black History Month, it forms the starting point for her CHASE-funded PhD research and includes work from the Phoenix Studio Award 2024.
Judith is an award-winning XR Developer, Artist, and Senior Lecturer creating, interactive narratives using AR, VR, and photography, with her work shown in leading publications, festivals, and cultural institutions.
