We are delighted to be taking part in the 2024 Platform Graduate Award!

The Platform Graduate Award is an initiative of CVAN South East to support emerging graduate artistic talent to further their practice following graduation. Established in 2012, the award has now evolved to provide a £500 bursary and 6-months of mentoring support to a small cohort of awardees, each of them an outstanding graduate from one of the several participating regional higher education partners. The scheme focuses on artists in the first year after graduation; a critical time when the loss of the university support structure and financial pressures can test an artist’s dedication to their practice.  Phoenix Art Space will nominate 2-5 graduates from its partner universities: University of Brighton and East Sussex College Hastings. Nominees will then have the opportunity to participate in a group exhibition at Phoenix Art Space in the autumn.

We are now inviting 2024 BA graduates from art courses at University of Brighton and East Sussex College to submit applications.
