Ceramic Sculpture
This course will guide you through the process of creating a sculptural piece from a solid block of clay which will later be hollowed out and fired. It is suitable for those with some experience of working in clay who are interested in learning a new technique or who are looking to expand their knowledge, but beginners are also welcome. Students who have previously attended this course are welcome too.
You will be able to create a medium sculpture (approx 40cm) or several smaller pieces to your own unique design. The tutor will provide guidance throughout on design, development and production of your piece/s. Basic glaze materials will be provided. However, if you have a specific glaze in mind that you would like to use there may be an additional cost. The tutor will give you all the support you need in choosing and applying the right glaze for your work.
N.B. No class on 20 February.
All materials (except specific glazes) and firing costs are included in the ticket price. Please bring an apron, sketches and/or photos of your ideas.
