Project Space: Clean Water

Exhibition

ABOUT

How is urban infrastructure provided in the Global South and how can the most marginalised benefit from it?

International agreements seek to ensure that urban growth is as inclusive as possible. Yet cities are notoriously unequal places. Poor or little access to safe water supplies are a daily reality for many. Security of housing and tenure both shapes and is shaped by state decisions to extend infrastructure to informal, off-grid settlements.

This exhibition explores themes around these issues through photography and a series of animations. It offers a window into the daily challenges of finding clean water that many in the world face today.

Water for All is part of the larger Urban Infrastructure project. This project has been produced by an international team of organisations, universities and charities. You can learn more here: https://positivenegatives.org/story/inclusive-urban-infrastructure/
