What is plein air? The French term plein air means out of doors and refers to the practice of painting entire finished pictures outside.

A live painting event with three studio artists from Phoenix Art Space who share a passion for painting outdoors; Julian Vilarrubi, Sophie Abbott and Jane Campling. Artists will be painting at different locations across Brighton in an effort to capture the city’s various landscapes. Members of the public will be able to watch and engage with the artists as they capture their surroundings in real-time. Artists will be giving away free Cass Art tote bags to visiting members of the public.
